Future Automotive Production in Focus at DSA TechDay in Turin
At the DSA TechDay in Turin on September 22, 2026, DSA Systems Italia brought together representatives from industry, academia, and public institutions to discuss key developments and future perspectives in automotive production. The event focused on the impact of software-defined vehicles on engineering, manufacturing, and vehicle operations, as well as the resulting requirements for integrated digital processes, data flows, and production systems.
Discussing the Digital Transformation of the Automotive Industry
The event took place at CIM – Competence for Industry and Manufacturing, one of Italy’s national competence centers for the digital and sustainable transformation of industry. More than 70 participants discussed four key topics: managing increasing software complexity, ensuring digital continuity from engineering to production, enabling data-driven manufacturing processes, and supporting the continuous operation and evolution of connected vehicles throughout their lifecycle.
In the roundtable discussion “Integration between Product Development and Digital Manufacturing Processes,” experts from Ferrari, IVECO, Politecnico di Torino, CIM, and DSA explored how product development and manufacturing can be more closely integrated through digital processes and which technological and organizational requirements this creates.
Insights into DSA Solutions
The program was complemented by live demonstrations of DSA solutions and innovative project approaches. The demonstrations included solutions for vehicle software lifecycle management, digital production platforms, AI-based applications, and concepts for connecting vehicles, production equipment, and processes across the manufacturing environment.
The combination of expert presentations, in-depth exchange, and practical demonstrations made DSA TechDay Italy 2026 a platform for discussing the future of automotive production and the vehicle lifecycle. At the same time, the event highlighted the role of DSA Systems Italia as a technology partner for the digital transformation of Italy’s automotive and manufacturing industries.
