The Mobile Diagnostic Interface MDI-G4 is used in all application areas to perform ECU diagnostics communication. It receives the diagnostic commands from a control computer (host). The connection to the host is carried out either wired (Ethernet, USB) or wireless (WLAN, Bluetooth).
The MDI-G4 firmware supports parallelism of diagnostic processes, where an arbitrary combination of protocols and physical bus systems is possible. In addition to a multitude of customer-specific protocols all established diagnostic protocols are supported.
Connecting cables can be switched variably inside the device.
All connectors are protected from unplugging by the cover.
