PRODIS.IVD moves Diagnostic Functions into the Vehicle
The shift towards software-defined vehicles (SDVs) also transform diagnostic and production processes. High-performance computers (HPCs) open up new possibilities for moving diagnostic functions directly into the vehicle. With PRODIS.IVD, DSA adds an on-board diagnostic solution for SDVs to its portfolio. The app performs diagnostic, communication, flashing, coding and commissioning functions on the HPCs in the vehicle, reducing (external) hardware requirements, simplifying production processes and laying the foundations for scalable on-board diagnostics.
In addition, PRODIS.IVD enables the reuse of existing diagnostic content (e.g. based on ODX and OTX), thereby facilitating the transition to an on-board diagnostic platform. This allows vehicle manufacturers to gradually adapt their production and diagnostic systems to modern E/E architecture while continuing to leverage their existing production infrastructure and investments.
Diagnostics during the Production Process
PRODIS.IVD increases the level of automation in vehicle production. By moving diagnostic functions into the vehicle, many processes can be carried out during production without additional external test systems. It also enables new automation scenarios, such as automated vehicle movements between test benches or flashing, coding and commissioning processes carried out directly in the vehicle.
Consistent Use throughout the entire Vehicle Lifecycle
The diagnostic functions provided by PRODIS.IVD can be reused throughout the entire vehicle lifecycle, beyond production. This creates a consistent platform for production, service, remote diagnostics and future software update processes.
Support for established Standards
The solution supports established standards such as ODX, OTX, UDS and SOVD and integrates seamlessly into development, production and service environments, enabling its future use in after-sales and service processes. PRODIS.IVD provides vehicle manufacturers with an on-board diagnostic platform that complements existing processes and supports the transition to Software-Defined Vehicle architectures.
