Moving charity event “Herbstemotionen” to benefit regional hospice work – DSA again main sponsor
On the 1st of November 2024, the charity event “Herbstemotionen” took place for the 8th time in the well-filled Big House of the Aachen City Theatre, with DSA Daten- und Systemtechnik GmbH being the main sponsor again this year. As in the previous years, the Hospizstiftung Region Aachenn organised a lively programme to finance important hospice projects. And once again, the event provided a humorous approach to a serious topic. This time, the evening opened with insights from a film project produced by local schoolchildren. Pupils from the region had interviewed people of different age groups about the topics of dying, death and parting and had received both light-hearted and serious answers. The audience responded to this cinematic introduction with loud applause. In the further programme of the evening, well-known artists from the region took an artistic approach to these topics and highlighted the need for solidarity and support for seriously ill people and their families in the region.
With the hospice Haus Iterbach the hospice foundation has already created an important place for palliative care. Now it is focusing on new projects, including mobile ethics advice, which offers support to those directly affected as well as their relatives in difficult decision-making situations. This offer, which is accompanied by professionally trained staff, is highly in demanded and will be further expanded in the future.
‘Supporting the Hospizstiftung Region Aachenin its commitment is a deeply felt matter for us’, emphasised Dr. Thomas Huth, managing director of DSA Daten- und Systemtechnik GmbH. ‘The dedication of everyone involved and the emotional strength that is reflected in this event is very valuable. Our goal is to help ensure that those affected and their families in the region can count on support when they need it.’
The success of the evening once again demonstrates the broad support for the hospice foundation and its work in the Aachen region. The organisers are delighted by the huge interest and positive response to the event, which not only raises awareness of the topics of dying, death and parting, but also underlines the importance of dignified accompaniment when life draws to a close.
