DSA acquires IGH Automation GmbH
Aachen June 2022, 22nd - As an expert in modular software and hardware solutions for the entire life cycle of vehicle electronics, DSA Daten- und Systemtechnik GmbH based in Aachen, Germany, acquires the software company IGH Automation GmbH in Ilmenau, thus further expanding its customer base.
IGH Automation GmbH has been successfully developing and selling software solutions and test systems for commercial vehicles such as forklifts, fire engines and cranes, as well as for rail vehicles for more than three decades. "On first sight, our solutions look similar, but our customers and system requirements are different," says DSA Managing Director Dr Thomas Huth, explaining the company's decision. "With the acquisition of IGH Automation, we are further expanding our fields of application and our customers, while strengthening our competence in the area of commercial and special vehicles with the 20 employees." In this context, he points out that IGH Automation's customers can rely on continuity in the business relationships.
Through the acquisition, the two companies complement their competences and resources in order to offer an even more comprehensive portfolio to existing and potential new customers. IGH Automation will remain an independent DSA subsidiary at its Ilmenau site and will continue to employ all employees. The former managing shareholder Ludwig Hoppe will remain managing director. "We are pleased about the successful transfer of the company and about the future cooperation. Together we can manage significantly larger projects," says Hoppe. "With DSA Daten- und Systemtechnik GmbH, we were able to transfer our successfully established company into competent hands and not only offer our employees the continuity of their jobs, but also enable them to realize interesting projects in new international markets."
