DSA foundation again main sponsor of "Herbstemotionen" 2023

Sold-out charity event in the city theatre for hospice work in the Aachen region

For the eighth time, the Hospice Foundation Aachen Region presented its traditional charity evening together with the city theatre called Stadttheater Aachen. On November 1st, 2023, the varied programme was well received by an enthusiastic audience in the sold-out Theatre.

This year, the focus was on musical performances and, with the invitation of the youth symphony orchestra and the children's and youth choir of the Stadttheater Aachen, also on promoting young talents. This reflects the social commitment of DSA Schäfer-Schulz Foundation and the Dres. Schäfer-Schulz Welfare Foundation, which together, as the main sponsor of the “Herbstemotionen”, are committed to promoting young talents in the Aachen region in social, cultural, sporting, and scientific areas.

The "Herbstemotionen" are regarded as the most important charity event organised by the hospice foundation. As in previous years, all proceeds from the event go to the Hospizstiftung Region Aachen. The original goal for donations has now been achieved and the hospice at Iterbach on the outskirts of Aachen has been fully financed. From now on, the funds raised can be channelled into the entire hospice and palliative care work across the region, for example into providing support for children and young people in bereavement or the mobile hospice service.

Supported by the Dres. Schäfer-Schulz Wohlfahrtstiftung and DSA, "Herbstemotionen" at Aachen Theatre is an important event for this good cause. The success of the evening in a sold-out theatre shows that melancholy and joyful moments are not mutually incompatible when it comes to dealing with death. The way in which death is approached with respect, but also with humour and, above all, with commitment to a dignified last phase of life, has once again proven very well received this year.
