For some time now, two ready-mixed concrete suppliers, Elskes Transportbeton GmbH & Co. KG and Fertigbeton Rheinland GmbH have been using the new web-based customer portal BetoShop. The portal enables easy ordering, administration and delivery tracking of ready-mixed concrete. This leads to a considerably lower phone call frequency in the dispatching offices of the concrete suppliers. Standard procedures can now be processed swiftly, thus leaving free capacity for other daily business.
The user navigation in BetoShop is that of a web shop. From the selection in a catalogue or from a stored list of sorts, customers can order the required ready-mixed concretes at the desired time using a shopping cart function. They can also specify details such as the method and speed of unloading. Delivery addresses are selected from a building site address list unless the concrete is to be picked up. In addition to ordering ready-mixed concrete, it is also possible to request pumps for rent. The system leads the customer step by step through the ordering process with input assistance thus preventing mistakes. A messaging service keeps customers continuously informed about the status of the order and delivery.
Depending on customer requirements, the web-based customer portal can be enhanced with additional functions. As a single module of the Integrated solution for the concrete and construction material industries BetoSys, the portal offers numerous possibilities for expansion.
