At the beginning of July, upper school students were able to get a taste of IT professions as part of the annual student competition "GoIT". In five selected companies from the region, they were given real and up-to-date work tasks that the young people should solve in one week. It was not the perfect conclusion, but the way to the solution in the center of the project.
"Vehicle Assembly in the Digital Factory. Develop an Android app for electronic assembly instructions."
With DSA, we entered the world of digital factory. Hendrik and Tim had decided on our challenge and together created a prototypical Android application for the Google Glass, which is used in vehicle production. Here it was necessary to program the app in such a way that the produced vehicles are automatically identified by means of mobile Bluetooth modules, so-called beacons. In addition, the two students realized the application in such a way that it leads the worker electronically through the various assembly steps and directly displays the corresponding vehicle parts to be installed.
At the end of the week, Hendrik and Tim could be proud of their commitment. They presented a great result in front of the other groups and the jury and achieved the 3rd place in the competition. Congratulations!
