This October, DSA Systems again attended the Automotive Testing Expo in Novi/MI. Under the motto "Diagnostics in the Digital Factory," we showed our interested visitors how they can use the digital change as an opportunity for their company and make vehicle configuration and diagnostics processes ready for the digital future.
Diagnostics in the Digital Factory
Various live demonstrations gave DSA booth visitors an idea about our innovative hardware and software solutions that help automotive manufacturers on their way to an efficient and paperless factory.
One live demo demonstrated the DSA Module Test System MTS controlling a robot, that can work as standalone as well as in parallel with operators during component testing and performs semi-automated tests, e.g. testing the ventilation system or a visual inspection of displays. Through the robot’s precise sensor technology and active image recognition, not only human errors during quality assurance can be avoided but also the production time can be reduced significantly.
Furthermore, our new Smart Diagnostics Grid, which enables a permanent online connection of the vehicles during the entire configuration and diagnostics process, could be checked out. While the new DSA adapter Smart Diagnostics Edge remains plugged into the vehicle over the course of several production tacts, it establishes continuous WiFi communication with the test computer. Thus, it integrates the vehicles into the existing plant IT, and the new DSA server backend PRODIS.PlantHUB takes on data logistics for the implementation of autonomous flash programming, calibration and vehicle testing.
In another live demo, our booth visitors got an impression of our newly developed HMI applications. The DSA assembly checklist app for commercial tablets guides operators through various vehicle assembly steps, taking into account different vehicle vehicle variants. This not only saves time, but also minimizes operating errors due to a continuously updated assembly documentation.
But not only the processes during vehicle assembly can be digitized and made more efficient—our DSA checklist apps support workers with electronic instructions during various production processes.
Last but not least, a live demo of our big data analytics solution SKYLYZE gives a new virtual view on all running processes and relevant information by, for example, analyzing vehicle diagnostic data across production sites and detecting vehicle-specific or also processual abnormalities.
Of course, next year we will again be presenting at the testing expo in Novi/MI with exciting topics and original product innovations!
