Our WDI-2 is the successor of the known “Wireless Diagnostic Interface“(WDI), a universally applicable, mobile diagnostic interface used in development, production and workshops. The WDI-2 is designed for communication with vehicle control units by establishing a connection between the electrical system and an external, PC based diagnostic application. For that purpose, the compact device is plugged to the vehicle’s OBD connector and contacts the test computer alternatively via WLAN or tethered. If requested, the WDI-2 is also available with Bluetooth.
The WDI-2 supports all current diagnostic protocols and vehicle buses and fulfils the D-PDU-API standard according to ISO 22900-2. The project-specific adaptation to the requirements of the electronic vehicle architecture is enabled by the customer-specifically designed OBD head. Furthermore, the design of the housing has been optimised so that the WDI-2 is now—with a length of only 82,3 mm (without OBD head)—even more compact. An internal memory of 4 GB provides sufficient space for recording log data.
