In cooperation within the automotive industry, the topic of information security is becoming increasingly important. After a development process lasting several years, the OEMs in the automotive industry, together with the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), introduced a sector standard in 2017 with the TISAX certification (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange). The standard is based on ISO 27001 but has been expanded to include sector-related topics such as prototype protection, order processing or connections to external companies.
The ENX Association (https://enx.com/tisax) supports on behalf of VDA with TISAX the common acceptance of Information Security Assessments in the automotive industry. TISAX Assessments are conducted by accredited audit providers that demonstrate their qualification at regular intervals. TISAX and TISAX results are not intended for general public.
As confidentiality, availability and integrity of information have great value for DSA, extensive measures have been taken on protection of sensitive and confidential information. Therefore, DSA follows the TISAX question catalogue, which was last updated in October 2020. The Assessment was conducted by the TISAX audit provider TÜV Rheinland. The result is exclusively retrievable over the ENX Portal https://portal.enx.com/en-en/TISAX/tisaxassessmentresults after a request at DSA has been made.
