PRODIS.VDS (Vehicle Diagnostic Simulation) is a professional simulation tool for validating ECU diagnostic behavior based on UDS. It enables engineers to simulate CAN, CAN FD, and DoIP communication and to test diagnostic behavior across multiple error scenarios - locally, networked, or in the cloud. PRODIS.VDS combines accurate simulation with an intuitive user interface, supporting efficient validation workflows throughout development and testing.
PRODIS.VDS currently supports CAN, CANFD, and DoIP simulation. It offers a wide range of configuration settings and provides stable, multifunctional, and fast simulation capabilities. It also provides extra support for multiple ECU error scenarios.
PRODIS.VDS utilizes XML files for a standardized file format, leading to better separation of individual configuration fields.
Switching simulation files is effortless making it easy to verify the historical and future state of the vehicle. Additionally, flexibly configuring logs to track operations and results is possible.
In the off-highway sector, PRODIS.VDS supports the simulation of robust diagnostic scenarios for machines with high reliability and availability requirements. ECU fault cases can be systematically analyzed and traced, even under demanding operating conditions.
For commercial vehicles, PRODIS.VDS enables efficient diagnostic simulation of complex ECU and network topologies. This helps reduce downtime and ensures reliable diagnostic workflows, even for connected fleet vehicles.
PRODIS.VDS supports development, testing, and service processes in the automotive industry through realistic diagnostic simulations across the entire vehicle lifecycle. Fault scenarios can be analyzed early and validated reproducibly—from prototype to series production.
Flexibility of Deployment
Simulating CAN/CANFD supports communication between diagnostic clients and simulations run on different devices. When simulating DoIP, it supports running the diagnosis and simulation through a network which means that you can diagnose against simulation via localhost, LAN, or even cloud.
XML-Based Maintenance Approach
The XML format files make the simulation configurations clear and editable. PRODIS.VDS provides both an internal editor and access to the functional external editor.
Merge Simulation Files
Allows the import of multiple simulation snippets. The contents in the files with the same name will be merged. For now, VCI info, configuration parameters, and commands can be imported. The existing elements will not be overwritten.
