Wireless Diagnostic Interface WDI

The WDI is a universal mobile diagnostic interface designed for communication with vehicle ECUs. Inside the compact and robust device all current diagnostic protocols specified in the D-PDU API standard (ISO 22900-2) are supported by software and hardware.
It is used in development, manufacturing and workshops. Customer-specific adjustments to the different assignments of the OBD connector are provided by an easily exchangeable OBD connector.
For wireless coupling with a host system a WLAN interface or alternatively a Bluetooth interface are available. In areas where this type of coupling is not possible or not allowed, host communication can be performed through a galvanically isolated high speed USB 2.0 interface.
The WDI firmware supports parallel diagnostic processes with an arbitrary combination of protocols and physical bus systems. During the entire diagnostic process the communication can be simultaneously logged on all busses.
Besides/In addition to a wide range of customer-specific protocols all current diagnostic protocols are supported:
- UDS on CAN
- OBD on CAN and K line
- KWP2000 on ISO-TP, TP2.0, TP1.6 and K line
- KW1281 on TP1.6 and K line
- SAE J1939
- DoIP
