In tight cooperation with our customer General Motors the PRODIS.RTS- and PRODIS.Authoring-based service solution GDS (Global Diagnostic System) has been rolled out to GM dealers worldwide in the past months. Together with the launch of the Opel Insignia, car of the year 2009, the european dealers were equipped with this new service diagnostic solution. By now the rollout in North America and other sales regions was completed together with further new vehicle types.

GDS permits a quick and guided workflow, ships with a modern and efficient user interface and can be run on any standard PC platform. The diagnostic data for the various vehicle electronic platforms is authored and maintained with PRODIS.Authoring by customers and cooperation partners. Within GM's global platform strategy, the system is at its most impressive regarding its reuse and redundancy avoidance strategy. As such, it is the first system of this dimension, which allows for an efficient data distribution to all 15.000 dealers via the Internet.

It is intended to support diagnosis and repair of more then 20 vehicle types with GDS until the end of the year.
