ODX 2.2.0 (ISO-ODX) enters the PRODIS Toolsuite

Today's diagnostic processes within the german and international automotive industry rely heavily on the ODX standard (Open Diagnostic data eXchange). Engineering testers, manufacturing test systems and after sales processes have been based on or adapted to ODX within many OEMs.
The ODX standard has been developed and published in multiple stages within the ASAM and the ISO. The first version to receive attention and actually to be implemented was ODX V 2.0.1 (which was submitted to ISO as ISO/CD 22901-1 for voting). This is also the standard version with the highest proliferation within the industry. ODX V 2.1.0 (submitted to ISO as ISO/DIS 22901-1) followed, but only has a small user group. Driven by the reference within the EURO 5/6 norm (692/2008) we now see the official ISO standard 22901-1 alias ODX V 2.2.0 receiving increased attention.
Following the tradition of DSA's longlasting successful ODX history from the ISO project lead up to the publication of the international standard and numerous successfully completed ODX projects, ODX 2.2.0 has high priority within our roadmaps. Just recently, we were able to complete a 15-months Proof-of-Concept project with a german OEM, which was to analyze the feasibility of an ODX 2.2.0 introduction into the complete diagnostic process chain. The feasibility could be successfully established to full customer satisfaction. Our product PRODIS.MCD is alreay being prepared for ODX 2.2.0 support. A first product release can be expected soon. Since all our diagnostic products (PRODIS.OET, PRODIS.Authoring, PRODIS.Office, PRODIS.RTS and PRODIS.Automation) are based on the PRODIS.MCD diagnostic kernel, they also benefit from this development.
