The Window Driving Device WDD-LIN was specifically designed for operation at the door module's pre-assembly. New requirements of this field led to the integration of LIN bus functionality into the device.
Modern vehicle doors control their local functions independently via own LIN or CAN controller/s, which are in normal operation activated by the vehicle's central control unit. In order that the window lifter can be activitated already during assembly - when the doors are not yet installed - a simulation of the missing central control unit is required.

The WDD-LIN system comes with a microcontroller-based power current unit, which supplies power for the door module and secondary simulates the central control unit. Among other things his allows for a complete remote control operation of the door module without operator interaction. The two power current channels, which are operating absolutely independent of each other, allow for parallel work at front and rear door. In addition different system functions and measured values can be optionally retrieved from a superordinate test system via WLAN or Bluetooth, and it is also possible to visualise complex test sequences on external monitors.

Especially for in-line repair a battery-operated, mobile version of the Window Driving Device WDD-LIN is available.
