With the launch of the Porsche Panamera, the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG has rolled out a new diagnostic tester to its authorized dealerships. The core technology of the solution is the diagnostic runtime system, which is fully based on the new diagnostic standards ASAM MCD-3D, ODX and D-PDU-API. The result is a diagnostic tester that combines innovative technology with high performance under the hood of an efficient and elegant user interface.
For the implementation of the diagnostic runtime system the existing solutions PRODIS.RTS and PRODIS.MCD were employed. The vehicle-specific diagnostic applications were implemented with the graphical authoring tool PRODIS.Authoring aiming at a high degree of reuse. As such, all basic diagnostic applications can be used with a new vehicle as soon as the ODX data are available and without further implementation effort.
