DSA as consortium mangager has entered a research project proposal with the title "Efficient Digital Test and Diagnostic Processes in the Automotive Industry on the basis of the new international standards ODX and OTX (EDiP)" into the announcement Automotive+Produktion.NRW. The proposal has been found eligible by the responsible jury.

Together with our active project partners Adam Opel GmbH, the Laboratory of Machine Tools and Production Engineering (University of Aachen), the Institute of Automotive Engineering (University of Aachen) and the interested project partner KRONE, we will work on the ideal implementation of an ODX (Open Diagnostic data eXchange)- and OTX (Open Test sequence eXchange)-based diagnostic process. The resulting process will be measured against today's process by defined metrics. The goal is to scientifically establish the economical and technical feasibility of an OTX data exchange between multiple business units of an OEM and the OEM and the suppliers within the electronics supply chain. We will also validate the process in a real-world scenario within a vehicle launch project.

The project is planned to start in summer 2010 and is planned to conclude in December 2011.
